Research Positions in Regenerative Medicine

The Translational Centre for Regenerative Medicine (TRM Leipzig), funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Free State of Saxony, supports the development of new therapeutic and diagnostic technologies as well as preclinical models in regenerative medicine. For our next grant period, starting 2011, we are inviting applications for awards to pursue research concepts from bench‐to‐bedside. Financial support is available for individuals and research groups in four research areas:

  • Tissue Engineering and Materials Science (TEMAT)
  • Cell Therapies for Repair und Replacement (CELLT)
  • Regulatory Molecules and Delivery Systems (REMOD)
  • Imaging, Modelling and Monitoring of Regeneration (IMONIT

Awards will start in 2011 and run for an initial period of two years, with extensions being dependent on a positive reviewing process. The TRM Leipzig offers a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment with a wide range of support facilities and career development opportunities. Depending on the award type and the stage of the project, support is available for the applicant’s own salary plus additional staffing, consumables and travel. The grant is not transferable to other regions and research projects will usually be performed at the TRM Leipzig. Additional funding, e.g. from industry, may be required for some award types.

Additional information concerning our current research activities, award types, the TRM gating system, support strategies, and the opportunities for ongoing training can be found on the TRM website: www.trm.uni‐
